Big Timber, Montana's Weekly Pro Rodeo

Big Timber's Impromptu Rodeo Series Continues!

Our neighboring community of Big Timber, MT launched an impromptu rodeo series in July of 2020 out of frustration watching the rodeo industry suffer from COVID-19 regulations. Since then, the weekly rodeo has gained so much traction that PRCA and the County Fair Board approved a professionally sanctioned 10-week summer series this year!

In fact, it was voted Best Small PRCA RODEO in Montana. Spectators and competitors alike love the Big Timber Weekly Pro Rodeo. Local stock contracting company, JS Rodeo Company has over 50 years of experience. John E.S. Smith was a Canadian World Saddle Bronc Champion in 1981 and 1988, and he went on to start his own brand. Every good rodeo has plenty of events, and theirs is no different.

Weekly events include: Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Steer Roping, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Competitive OPEN Ranch Bronc Riding series and Breakaway roping. The top cowboy and cowgirl will be awarded High Money Winner buckles sponsored by Montana Silversmiths.
