Founded in 1984, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is an organization dedicated to ensuring the future of elk. Since its humble start in the 1980's the foundation now has nearly 225,000 memebers. The support of these members helped complete 14,000 conservation and hunting outreach projects. These projects enhanced 8.9 million acres of wildlife habitat. The RMEF today is a strong voice for elk, elk country, hunters and public access.
