Montana Silversmiths was founded in 1973, in Columbus Montana, a small ranching community on the Yellowstone River.  From our humble beginnings, when the goal was to bring high quality, lost cost, plated buckles to the market, we have grown into the largest manufacturer of western silver products in the world with dealer-partners in all 50 states and in many foreign countries.

We now make custom trophy buckles for all the major western events and World Championships, fine hand crafted works of art made one cut at a time.  We are proud to be able to fill every silver need for our customers and dealers. 

We are always challenging ourselves to come up with unique and affordable products that our western lifestyle customers will appreciate and enjoy.  In 2000 the Montana Lifestyles line was introduced.  A fine line of home décor accessories and whimsical collectables meant to be enjoyed by our loyal friends and customers.  Then, in the last two years Montana Silversmiths has applied the art of fine western design to leather handbags, wallets and other men’s and women’s leather accessories to compliment our western silver and further outfit the authentic western customer. 

Our business has come a long way since 1973.  And oh yes, we are still in the beautiful ranching community of ColumbusMontana, right on the Yellowstone river, where looking out our windows is our inspiration!
