Montana Silversmiths and Big Sky Carvers Combine Talents

Two of the Big Sky state's best entrepreneurial success stories have now become
one.
Montana Silversmiths and Big Sky Carvers have announced that as of June 15th,
they began operating jointly under the new company identity of The Montana
Group Inc. "Both companies will very much maintain their own strong and
long-standing brands," says Dennis Potzman, President of Montana Silversmiths
and the new CEO of The Montana Group Inc. "The rich history of quality products
and quality people within these two companies are their core values. We only
hope to make both even stronger with an integrated effort."
Montana Silversmiths was founded in 1973, with its headquarters in Columbus.
Montana Silversmiths is the market leader in western buckles, jewelry, gifts,
home décor and leather accessories - serving almost 5,000 western retailers in
the United States, Canada and 25 foreign countries.
Big Sky Carvers is the market leader in decoys, bears and other wildlife
carvings and has gone on to achieve worldwide recognition. Additionally, the
artists and craftspeople at Big Sky Carvers have reflected their wildlife,
lodge, and outdoor themes in thousands of other products, including the
acclaimed "Bearfoots" whimsical bear figurines, Home Décor, and Christmas
ornaments.
According to Marc Pierce, Big Sky Carvers co-founder, "This is an outstanding
