Montana Silversmiths Helps Sponsor Extreme Home Makeover

Cowboys have always been known for their willingness to help others in need, so
it came as no surprise that when ABC's mega-hit show Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition asked for help ProRodeo sponsors jumped in to help.
Their quest to tear down a family's existing home and build one that
represented the family's love of rodeo and Western culture. Colorado
Springs-area family, whose 101-year-old, 2,000-square-foot farmhouse could no
longer meet the needs of six children and their parents.
Billy Jack and Anne Barrett and their kids - four are adopted out of foster
care programs - live in the tiny town of Peyton, which is situated a few miles
east of Colorado Springs. The Barretts were chosen for the makeover for opening
their hearts and home to troubled and disadvantaged children. More than 3,000
applications are considered each day by the show. The Barretts are horse people
and love the sport of rodeo. The ABC "Extreme Makeover" team's task was to tear
down the family's existing home and build a new house that represented the
family's love of rodeo and the Western culture.
When it came time to outfit the house, PRCA sponsors Justin, Jack Daniel's,
Wrangler, Montana Silversmiths, Dodge, Cactus Ropes, Coors and B&W stepped
up.
Montana Silversmiths donated buckles for each family member, as well as for the
design team. Montana Silversmiths also helped with the home's interior design
providing Montana Lifestyles western home decor products and created a special
one of a kind "Extreme Home Makeover" Logo buckle for the ABC Champion Crew.
This effort provides the template of how to get something accomplished,"
according to Jason Adams Vice President for Economic Development, PRCA.
"Everyone pulled together and everyone is to be commended."
